Presenting SPKLU In Kupang, PLN Hopes To Reduce Carbon Gas Emissions
JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) Main Unit for East Nusa Tenggara Region presents a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) in Kupang City.
General Manager of PLN UIW NTT Agustinus Jatmiko said, the presence of SPKLU is a form of commitment to be able to increase green energy in all sectors, especially in tourist destinations.
This is in line with the government's commitment to encourage the reduction of carbon gas emissions.
"This is one of PLN's supports in encouraging electric vehicles. We are ready to support the energy transition in NTT by preparing electricity infrastructure and can also be a place to socialize to the public about the importance of switching to electric vehicles," said Jatmiko as quoted on Monday, July 4.
Jatmiko admitted that PLN had operated two SPKLUs in NTT.
This step, he continued, is a form of the company's commitment to accelerate the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) ecosystem in Indonesia.
In addition, as an effort to realize an electrifying lifestyle in the NTT region.
"We really hope that through this activity, public awareness about the existence of electric vehicles will increase," said Jatmiko.
Meanwhile, Assistant III for General Administration of NTT Province Semuel Halundaka said that the presence of SPKLU is a must to encourage ASN to use electric vehicles.
"The NTT Provincial Government fully supports the presence of electric vehicles and encourages all ASN in the NTT province to use electric vehicles, especially electric motorbikes," he said.
Samuel hopes that PLN will continue to take an active part in developing new and renewable energy (EBT) in NTT.
"Hopefully, through this activity, public awareness about the existence of electric vehicles will increase," concluded Jatmiko.
