Dozens Of Illegal Hajj Candidates Deported, West Java Deputy Governor Uu Asks Residents To Be Careful With Furoda Hajj
BANDUNG - Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum asked Indonesian citizens, especially West Java, to be more careful regarding the furoda pilgrimage or the invitation route from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, because the pilgrimage with this mechanism is not handled directly by the state.
"The furoda pilgrimage is legal and lawful, but it is not managed by the state. So the state only knows. I hope the public is careful in carrying out the hajj process," said Deputy Governor Uu in Bandung City, as reported by Antara, Monday, July 4.
Previously, as many as 46 pilgrims from Indonesia, invited participants of Hajj or Hajj Mujamalah or known as the Hajj program without lining up, used the Furoda Hajj Visa.
They had to be deported to Indonesia for using unofficial visas from Malaysia and Singapore.
Deputy Governor Uu hopes that law enforcement officers will respond to the case of Haji Furoda, which was dispatched by PT Alfatih Indonesia Travel (his office is located in West Bandung Regency, West Java).
"If there is fraud or public lies and others, then APH or law enforcement officers will move there, they will not stay silent," he said.
Deputy Governor Uu said that in general, people are tempted by the furoda pilgrimage because they can immediately depart without waiting for a long time of decades.
Due to this impatience, he said, people are often exploited with the consequence of paying very expensive travel costs.
"So people are tempted by the fast departure from registration, the problem of cost is sometimes people don't think about it," he said.
According to him, with the high interest of the community for Hajj, the government provides other alternatives such as ONH Plus at a cost that is not much different from the Furoda Hajj.
