Threatened With 15 Years In Prison, Father Of Mutilation Perpetrators In Riau Had A Story Of Wanting To End The Suffering Of His Son
RIAU - Arharubi (42), the perpetrator of the murder and mutilation of his 10-year-old son in Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province is threatened with 15 years in prison.
Tembilahan Hulu Police Chief, Iptu Ricky Marzuki said the perpetrators were subject to Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 Paragraphs (3) and (4) of Law Number 35/2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23/2002 concerning Child Protection, which carries a penalty of 15 years in prison.
"After a number of examinations were carried out, the suspect was detained at the Inhil Resort Police custody," he said in Tembilahan, quoted from Antara, Riau, July 4.
The exact trigger for the sadistic murder is not yet known, but the suspect said that he did not want any suffering to be felt by his son.
"We are still investigating the motive for the murder. However, the suspect said that he did not want his child to be in trouble. Let his child be in heaven," he said.
Regarding allegations of sexual harassment, he said, he was also waiting for the results of the post-mortem examination from the hospital. "We will wait for the results from the doctor who conducted the examination," he said.
Previously, Arharubi had been under psychiatric observation at the Tampan Hospital in Pekanbaru, and the conclusion was that he did not have a mental disorder.
Marzuki also confirmed this based on an examination letter from the Pekanbaru Tampan Hospital. "After receiving the results of the examination, we will immediately pick up the suspect," he said.
