Proven To Accept Bribery, Tirtonadi Solo Terminal Contract Employee Fired

Central Java - Land Transportation Management Agency (BPTD) Region X Central Java-DIY dismissed a contract employee of Tirtonadi Terminal Solo, Central Java, who was recorded and proven to have accepted bribes.

Head of BPTD Region X Central Java-DIY Eko Agus Susanto said that previously he had received reports and received recommendations from the Tirtonadi Terminal Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) regarding the incident.

"We have also held a trial to determine the sanctions to be given. The sanctions are termination of work or termination of the contract," he said in Solo, Central Java, quoted from Antara, Friday July 1.

He said the person had only worked for 1 year as a contract employee at Tirtonadi Terminal.

"From the trial, it was discovered that the perpetrator had only done this once. He admitted that he was shocked by the incident but could not deny it because the video was like that (receiving money). Should there be such an incident, refuse, stay away, or report to the leadership," he said.

Even though he admits that this has happened only once, his party still takes firm steps considering that bribery or gratification is categorized as a serious violation that has been regulated in the Regulation of the Director General of Land Transportation.

Regarding this matter, his party hopes that all terminals under his coordination can take lessons from the incident.

"Currently, we are required to do a ramp check on POs (autobus companies). If they don't pass, they don't pass, if they complain or want to bully, let them go. We have terminated the contract employees, the termination decree was signed on Wednesday (29 June) and submitted on Thursday (30 June)," he said.

Previously, a video was spread on a number of social media related to illegal levies by one person who was caught on camera by someone from the bus.

In the video that had gone viral on social media, it was seen that someone suspected of being a public bus crew handed over a number of letters to an officer. After a moment of checking the letters, it was seen that the bus crew had slipped something into the hands of the officers.
