Unable To Manage Team If There Is No Budget, Persipura Manager: Don't Give All Tasks To Me
JAKARTA - Persipura Jayapura manager Yan Permenas Mandenas said he would not be able to fully manage the team if there was no budget or authorized capital from the management of the club nicknamed the Black Pearl.
"If I am given the basic capital, since Persipura's transition period, relegation to league 2, I have been able to move to sign players and coaches," he told Antara, Thursday.
When he was appointed as team manager, he said, he was only helping to alleviate the problems that were currently happening but not entirely his responsibility, including taking care of the match organizing committee (Panpel).
"I'm happy and grateful to be a manager but don't give all the tasks to me, I'm sure I can't afford it, let alone no funds at all," he said.
He explained the working time in preparing the team for Liga 2 was only one and a half months to find sponsors and sign players and coaches.
"It was a very short period of time, especially since I am also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the difference is that if there are funds, maybe now the players are already doing centralized training," he said again.
He added that the problems currently facing Persipura must be resolved together so that the glory of the pride of the Papuan people can return to its former glory.
"I am happy to be the manager. I want to return Persipura to its former glory but the current situation we have to see together," he said again.
