Ganjar Pranowo Suddenly Director Gemu Fa Mire At Borobudur Student Festival
JAKARTA - Ganjar Pranowo is not just a governor. However, Ganjar turns out to have an interest and expertise in performing arts that may not be widely known by the general public, becoming a director.
This action was carried out by Ganjar Pranowo during the opening moment of the 2022 Borobudur Student Festival at Canisio Art Center, Kanisius Elementary School, Wonorejo, Magelang Regency.
On that occasion, Ganjar Pranowo even suddenly became the director of the famous Maumere or Gemu Fa Mire dance performances. He gathered students from various regions on the stage to dance together.
“Wow, there is one from Sikka (East Nusa Tenggara). Can you sing Maumere? OK, let's sing together. Anyone want to sing along to Maumere?” invite Ganjar to the students while waiting for the musicians to prepare themselves.
After that, Ganjar spontaneously invited one by one representatives from Aceh, Bali, Central Java, Papua, Ambon, and Ternate, to climb onto the back.
"Okay, it's ready. Please start. How about the dance? Well, let's all dance together," said Ganjar in an official statement from the Central Java Provincial Government, Tuesday, June 28.
The excitement peaked when everyone present came down to sing the song Gemu Fa Mire. Ganjar Pranowo then asked each representative to come on stage. At that time the songs Bungong Jeumpa, Ratoh Jaroe Dance, Cakalele Dance, to Kecak continued the crowd and splendor of the event.
“Thank you to everyone who came to this Student Festival. I just arrived earlier, I saw how the clothes were different. Our ancestors were highly civilized,” explained Ganjar.
