Following Dakota Johnson, Emma Roberts Joins Madame Web

JAKARTA - Emma Roberts has joined Madame Web, the latest film from the Marvel universe by Sony Entertainment. It follows two previously announced names, Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney.

In addition to the two, there were Celeste O'Connor, Isabela Merced, and Tahar Rahim who also joined.

Sony has not divulged what character Roberts will play. On the other hand, this film is his latest big screen project after Holidate in 2020.

Madame Web is a female character who suffers from myasthenia gravis and uses a respirator to survive. With his powers, he is able to predict the future of other superheroes.

He has the power equivalent to Doctor Strange, which is to control the mind and predict what will happen in the future.

Madame Web's character will star Dakota Johnson. This became his franchise project after 50 Shades of Grey.

Madame Web is the first female superhero adapted by Sony. This character is still related to Spider-Man where Sony is working on Kraven the Hunter and El Muerto.

Madame Web is a film directed by SJ Clarkson who worked on Jessica Jones and The Defenders. While the script was written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless who worked together for Morbius.

Reportedly, the film Madame Web is scheduled to hit theaters on July 7, 2023.
