Malaysian Club Johor Darul Ta'zim Claims To Get Candidates For Indonesian National Team Naturalized Player Jordi Amat

JAKARTA - Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta'zim claims to have obtained a candidate for naturalization for the Indonesian national team, Jordi Amat. Reportedly, Jordi will fill the ASEAN player slot.

This was conveyed by the owner of Johor Darul Ta'zim, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim. He said his party was still waiting for the 30-year-old player's naturalization process.

"Jordi will be part of the JDTT family and when all the processes regarding his passport are completed, he will be with JDT in the near future," said Tunku Ismail, as reported by Berita Harian.

Tunku Ismail admitted that he did not know how the naturalization process of Jordi Amat was. The JDT owner said he only knew about Jordi Amat's mother, who was from Makassar.

"However, we'll just have to wait and see how the process goes and hope he will join JDT as soon as possible," he continued.

On the same occasion, Tunku Ismail said his team would not bring in a player from the Malaysian national team, Dion Cools, at this time. According to him, the player is still under contract with the Norwegian club, FC Midtjylland.

JDT obviously had to spend a lot of money to get Dion Cools.

"So let him continue to play with his club and we wait until his contract ends. We wait for next season he will be with JDT," he concluded.
