Dark Clouds In Labuan Bajo, 2 Tourists Died Due To Sinking Ship
JAKARTA - Two tourists were found dead when the ship sank in the waters of the Komodo National Park, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, NTT, Tuesday, June 28 morning.
"There are three victims, two died and one was seriously injured. The incident occurred at 05.00 WITA," said Head of POS SAR Labuan Bajo Edi at the Labuan Bajo Archipelago Pier.
The first victim who died named Jamiatun Widaningsih (53) was found at 06.00 WITA.
Next, the second victim named Annisa Fitriani (22) was found at 10:00 WITA in the cabin.
Two dead victims were evacuated to Komodo Labuan Bajo Hospital and a seriously injured victim was taken to Siloam Labuan Bajo Hospital.
The survivors have also been evacuated back to Labuan Bajo City.
In the manifest document, the KLM Tiana Liveaboard contains 15 people. The ship capsized at 05.00 WITA due to strong winds.
