Supported By PMII Lampung Forward To 2024 Presidential Election, Cak Imin: Ready To Do It!
LAMPUNG - Chairman of the PKB Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin who insisted on running for the 2024 Presidential Election was supported by the Branch Coordinator Management (PKC) of the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) Lampung Province.
Chairman of the PKC PMII Lampung Province Ahmad Hadi Baladi Ummah said, Cak Imin is the best cadre PMII has ever had and deserves to be the number one person in Indonesia.
"As a junior and PMII cadre, we see Gus Muhaimin as the best PMII cadre. He is also the former General Chair of PB PMII and General Chair of PB PMII who now God willing, confirms it. We hope that one of the best PMII cadres will become the number one person in Indonesia, "said Ahmad Hadi Baladi Ummah when welcoming Cak Imin's arrival at Radin Inten II International Airport, South Lampung, Lampung, Monday.
Hadi also welcomed Cak Imin's arrival in Lampung with a rhyme. "On the beach there are many stones, in ancient times there were punden. Blue and yellow are unified, 2024 Cak Imin President," he said, as reported by Antara.
Responding to the support from PMII Lampung to run in the 2024 presidential election, Cak Imin firmly said, "Ready to carry it out...!"
The great-grandson of one of the founders of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) KH Bisri Syansuri said that now is the best momentum and opportunity for PMII to consolidate the struggle movement that has been voiced by PMII.
"This is an opportunity that is not kidding because in fact our potential, PMII friends throughout Indonesia, we have wide opportunities today and in the future with togetherness steps. This is not just politics, not just a power struggle, not just interests for a moment. But this is the time for us to consolidate the idea of struggle, the movement of steps that so far can be called less productive, "he said.
Cak Imin said PMII could be more productive if it didn't separate out thought movements, social movements, political movements, culture and movements that have been running so far.
"If we succeed in consolidating this, our target is not only 2024, but also a much bigger target, namely to build a generation of Indonesians who are not marginalized because we don't have money, because we don't have a part in the conglomeration of circumstances," he said.
The deputy chairman of the DPR RI said that PMII cadres have enormous potential.
"Activist movement is a very expensive position. To get there the investment is not light, not cheap, not easy. People who suddenly appear just because they have money, are not necessarily able to buy a strategic position as a movement activist," he also said.
Therefore, said Cak Imin, do not let PMII's extraordinary strategic position with its strong and broad network, well-established ideology and theories of struggle, and the auspices of the Ahlussunnah Waljamaah family, which has become history, be not optimized.
"We will prove that together with PMII, we will improve history. Together with PMII, we are looking for a better future," he said.
