Metro Police Start Investigation, Iko Uwais Asked To Respond To Calls Or Forced Pick Ups

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya hopes that Iko Uwais can be cooperative by responding to a summons by investigators regarding the alleged beating by the action film actor against a person named Rudi.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan in Jakarta, Monday, June 27, said that previously Iko Uwais had been given a summons by the investigators of the Bekasi City Metro Police on Saturday, June 25 but did not attend.

"Through his attorney, he gave a letter to the investigator asking for a delay until Thursday, June 30. The investigator will wait on Thursday," Zulpan said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 28.

Zulpan added, in accordance with the provisions that forced pick-ups can be carried out by investigators if two summons are absent.

"The condition is that if you don't come twice, you can pick it up," said Zulpan.

Furthermore, Zulpan said that related to Iko Uwais's back report regarding the alleged defamation with the reported party on behalf of Rudi, his party was still waiting for the progress of the investigation at the Bekasi City Metro Police.

"Later, we will see the handling at the Bekasi City Metro Police. Because the report given to the Polda is defamation. Is it proven that Iko Uwais has been convicted of a crime in Bekasi or not," said Zulpan.
