Gus Dur's Attributes Still Used To Gain Electability, Yenny Wahid Sprays Cak Imin: Immoral Political Behavior
JAKARTA - Yenny Wahid does not accept that his father's attributes, the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur, are still being used for political commodities, PKB Chairman Muhaimim Iskandar alias Cak Imin.
Yenny initially mentioned the old wounds that occurred between Gus Dur and Cak Imin, including Yenny Wahid. He said Cak Imin, who is Gus Dur's nephew, acted too far when he was given the opportunity to enter the PKB.
Instead of respecting Gus Dur, who had built the PKB after the reforms on the recommendation of Nahdliyyin residents, Yenny said, Cak Imin made a counter-conference against Gus Dur's.
"It's like Gus Dur building a house, after the house is finished, he says to his nephew, 'Come here Min [Cak Imin], you don't give me the biggest room.' something like that happened," Yenny told reporters at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Sunday, June 26.
Yenny said the traces of Cak Imin's treatment of Gus Dur were in the past. However, he emphasized that Cak Imin had to follow Gus Dur's instructions when he was the General Chair of the PKB Shura Council.
The order is contained in the letter of instruction Number 3750/DPP-01/IV/A.1/XI/2008. It contained a prohibition on the use of attributions such as photos, images, Gus Dur's voice in all activities held by Cak Imin.
Yenny thinks Cak Imin still uses Gus Dur's attributes to gain votes so that his electability increases on various occasions.
"But what makes us feel is that Gus Dur's photo is still on display there, as if Gus Dur is still part of the Cak Imin PKB and is being used as a political commodity, used to win constituent votes," said Gus Dur's second daughter.
According to the woman whose real name is Zaanuba Arifah Chafsoh, the violation of the instructions attached to the PKB cadres until Gus Dur died was Cak Imin's actions like an unethical politician.
"This is what we have to straighten out. This is something we don't accept. We can see that his political behavior is immoral and ethical," he said.
The use of Gus Dur's attributes by Cak Imin also happened in the 2014 media. At that time, Cak Imin was reported to the Election Supervisory Agency for being considered politicizing Gus Dur.
Yenny asked Cak Imin to look in the mirror by respecting the existing provisions, especially those made by the founder of PKB.
"If Indonesian politics is like that, then who will fight for the interests of the community or the people? Even party founders are treated like that," said Yeny. .
