GP Ansor Now Asks Governor Anies Dare To Close Holywings In Jakarta
JAKARTA - The DKI Ansor Youth Movement (GP) urges DKI Governor Anies Baswedan to close the operation of the nightclub, Holywings throughout the capital. All were triggered by promotions that allegedly offended ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA).
"We urge the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Mr. Anies Baswedan, to revoke the operational permit for Holywings throughout the DKI Jakarta area," Head of the Regional Leadership of the DKI Jakarta Ansor Youth Movement Muhammad Ainul Yakin in Jakarta, Monday, June 27, quoted from Antara.
According to him, the insistence was an expression of Muslim disappointment with the behavior of Holywings who had used Muhammad's name to promote alcoholic beverages.
His party regretted the attitude of the top management of the nightclub who seemed to run away from responsibility and only made an apology via social media.
"We urge the owners and management of Holywings to come forward and publicly apologize," he said.
On the other hand, his party appreciates the police for moving quickly to investigate the related persons and at the same time identify suspects.
"However, we demand that the police also examine the company's management leadership," he said.
Holywings has previously said and hopes that this handling will be completed soon for the sake of the company's sustainability. There are thousands of employees who depend on Holywings for their lives.
"We ask for prayers and support from the Indonesian people so that problems that occur can be immediately resolved in accordance with applicable legal procedures, for the sake of sustainability. More than 3,000 employees at Holywings Indonesia and their families who depend on this company," wrote Holywings in a statement on its account. Instagram.
Previously, the South Jakarta Metro Police had named six people as suspects in the SARA-related case related to the promotion of free Holywings liquor under the name "Muhammad-Maria".
"We have raised some of these people from witnesses to suspects. We have six people named as suspects. All of them work at Holywings in the BSD area," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi, Jakarta, Friday, June 24 yesterday.
The motives of the suspects in creating the content are only to attract visitors to outlets that lack visitors.
"They create the content to attract visitors to come to the outlets, especially at outlets whose sales percentage is below the 60 percent target," he said.
The issue of the free alcohol promotion for people named Muhammad and Maria held by Holywings is not over yet and is still being investigated by the police. Now, another problem has been revealed by the management of Holywings. The chairman of the Jakarta Entertainment Entrepreneurs Association (Asphija) Hana Suryani previously also said that Holywings only pays restaurant taxes to the government. However, entertainment activities are also carried out at the venue.
Hana admitted that a number of entertainment businesses that were included in her association claimed to be jealous of this. Because, said Hana, with lower tax payments, Holywings can provide free alcohol promos.
