Ministry Of Health Establishes Stroke Handling Cooperation With The UK
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Health is collaborating with the British government in order to increase the capacity of human resources for health workers in the field of stroke management.
Secretary of the Directorate General of Health Manpower, Sugianto said Health Education England had compiled a series of activities along with a timeline for the implementation of stroke management cooperation.
Capacity building for health human resources through the RI-UK collaboration will be focused on the agenda of transforming health human resources in 9 intervention areas for catastrophic diseases to reduce the burden of JKN.
"Stroke management must be integrated between primary care as a prevention effort, and referral services in carrying out a more comprehensive stroke treatment," said Sugianto in a written statement, quoted on Monday, June 27.
This collaborative activity will integrate the needs of primary service transformation and referral services.
Stroke management is carried out in an integrated manner between primary services as prevention efforts, such as screening for stroke by doctors and nurses at the puskesmas, as well as integrating referral services such as the development of international standard stroke management modules to serve as a reference for all national referral hospitals.
Meanwhile, Director of Poltekkes Jakarta III, Ministry of Health, Yupi Supartini, revealed that the capacity building for health human resources is in line with the Poltekkes strategy in holding international classes for nursing studies.
"We propose a program to focus on training or exchange of lecturers and visiting professors, developing training modules for stroke nursing care and physiotherapists, as well as developing stroke treatment studies with an international standard curriculum," said Yupi.
