Taylor Swift Releases Song Carolina, Will Be In The Movie Where The Crawdads Sing
JAKARTA - Singer Taylor Swift has launched her new song, Carolina. This new song is based on the novel by Delia Owens.
Taylor says Carolina was written about a year and a half ago. John Mayer's ex-lover revealed it through a personal Instagram account.
"About an extraordinary story. The story of a girl who lived on the outside, looked in. figuratively and literally," wrote Taylor, quoted from Fox News, Sunday, June 26.
Carolina was written by Taylor at midnight. Then the 32-year-old singer was assisted by Aaron Dessner to polish the Carolina arrangement.
"The prison of loneliness and independence. His longing and silence. His curiosity and fear, all entangled. His tenacious tenderness... and the world's betrayal of him," he said.
Taylor Swift is indeed fond of fiction, in March, Taylor had announced a book titled Where the Crawdads Sing. He says the book left him 'lost' when he read it years ago.
After Taylor learned that the novel would be made into a film, he was interested in being a part of the film.
"'Where the Crawdads Sing' was the book I was completely 'lost' when I read it years ago. As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring Daisy Edgar-Jones who was amazing and produced by -brilliant people, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from a musical standpoint," he said.
Carolina will be presented for the first time audio-visually by Taylor Swift at Where the Crawdads Sing on July 15.
