BPJS Health Asks Local Government To Increase The Number Of JKN-KIS Participants
JAKARTA - BPJS Kesehatan Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan, seeks to encourage five local governments to increase the number of people participating in the National Health Insurance-Healthy Indonesia Card (JKN-KIS) program.

The five local governments that are partners of BPJS Kesehatan Palangka Raya are the Kapuas Regency Government, Pulang Pisau Regency Government, Katingan Regency Government, Gunung Mas Regency Government and Palangka Raya City.
Masrur said that until May 2022, the number of JKN-KIS participants in Palangka Raya City reached 281,230 or 95.98 people protected by the BPJS Health program and had reached UHC.
Meanwhile, the number of JKN-KIS participants in Kapuas Regency was recorded at 320,284 people or 77.90, Pulang Pisau Regency or 80.67, Katingan Regency 154,253 or 91.62 and Gunung Mas Regency 109,640 people or 83.97 percent of the total population. each resident is protected by the JKN-KIS program.
However, in achieving the UHC there are still a number of obstacles, one of which is related to the availability of local government budgets.
He also did not rule out that the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the number of BPJS Health participant coverage because most of the local government budget was also absorbed for handling the spread of the corona virus.
On the other hand, currently his party also asks all health facility partners to implement online queuing as a form of digital transformation to accommodate the convenience of services for participants.
"One of our main focuses this year is to improve service quality and provide easy access to services for all JKN-KIS participants," he said.
He also thanked and appreciated the support of various parties because the implementation of online queuing was the goal of BPJS Kesehatan in providing quality services.
He added that BPJS Kesehatan is always committed to providing the widest possible access for JKN-KIS participants to get quality services in all health facilities.
