Puan Maharani Participates In Grilling Fish At The Grilled Fish Festival
JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani participated in burning fish at the Grilled Fish Festival which was held today.
Judging by VOI, initially the Speaker of the DPR walked in a number of booths in Hall B of the JCC. After looking around, Puan immediately walked outside to the place where the fish was being burned and fanned and flipped the fish that was being cooked.
After participating in burning the fish, he said that this activity was part of a series of commemorations of Bung Karno's month. Not only that, PDIP also wants the habit of eating fish to be encouraged again.
"Eating high protein fish makes the body healthy and strong and of course this is to help the fishermen," said Puan, Saturday, June 25.
"So it is more encouraged to re-awaken public awareness to eat fish because we are a maritime country, we have a vast sea with very great natural fishery products and full of various kinds of fish," he added.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the DPP PDIP Tourism Sector Wiryanti Sukamdani added that the festival will present a seminar or review of the Mustika Rasa book and a talk show on fish as a source of protein with nutritionists.
Not only held at the JCC, Wiryanto also said that this event was also held in 451 regencies/cities with a minimum number of 150 participants each.
"So the total is 67,856 participants and 34 DPD will also participate," he said.
Yanti also said that this event was also attended by meatball artisans, especially fish balls. "Fish is a very important component," he said.
"Because now the General Chairperson (Megawati Soekarnoputri, ed) says that culinary or food will become very important later. And the purpose and aim of this event is to promote foods that are not only rice but also non-rice," he concluded.
