Indosurya KSP Suspect Released From Detention, Prosecutors Accused Of Being The Cause

JAKARTA - Two suspects in the Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) case have been released from the detention center because their prison terms have expired. It is suspected that there were problems at the prosecutor's level because the case files had been transferred from the investigators from the Dittipideksus Bareskrim Polri to the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung).

"Yes (the suspect is free, ed), his detention period is over for 120 days," said the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan when confirmed, Saturday, June 25.

Whisnu said the case file had not yet been returned to investigators.

"Police investigators have no problems, maybe the problem is with the prosecutors," he said.

Although the suspect was released from detention, Whisnu emphasized that the investigation of this case would continue. The three suspects are Henry Surya as the Chairman of KSP Indosurya; The Cooperative's Director, Suwito Ayub, who is still at large; and Head Admin, June Indria.

"The case continues, yes," said Whisnu.

As previously reported, the Bareskrim detained two high-ranking KSP Indosurya officials, Henry Surya and JI, who are suspects in this fraud case. Meanwhile, another KSP Indosurya official, namely Suwito Ayub, is still being sought.

Suwito Ayub is suspected of having fled abroad. The Bareskrim Polri also submitted a red notice to Interpol to hunt down Suwito.

He allegedly fled abroad using a fake passport. Suwito was recorded as having traveled to Singapore.

Henry Surya's assets have also been confiscated by the police. Shophouses and buildings whose total value reaches Rp. 107 billion. Investigators also confiscated a shop house (ruko) in the South Tangerang area worth IDR 7 billion.

Not only that, the two floors of the Sudirman Suite Apartment, South Jakarta, are also on the list to be confiscated by investigators. However, so far the process is still waiting for approval from the Central Jakarta District Court. Previously, investigators had also confiscated assets belonging to Henry Surya in the form of a land plot in the Bogor area, West Java, worth Rp. 18 billion.

Then, investigators also confiscated the building that was used as the office of the Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) worth IDR 1.2 trillion. This confiscation is related to the eradication of money laundering (TPPU) related to the alleged investment fraud case.
