Not Only Convoys, GP Ansor Also Asks The Local Government To Revoke Holywings' Business License In The Aftermath Of Muhammad-Maria's Alcohol Promotion
JAKARTA - The Ansor Youth Movement (GP) for the DKI Jakarta area plans to meet with the DKI Regional Government (Pemda) to request the revocation of the Holywings business license.
This step was taken in the aftermath of Holywings' promotion of freeing alcoholic beverages to the owner of the name Muhammad which was considered blasphemy.
"Including the DKI Regional Government, we plan to go there regarding the revocation of permits (Holywings, ed)," said Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta GP Ansor Regional Leadership, Sofyan Hadi, to reporters, Friday, June 24.
In addition, GP Ansor for the DKI Jakarta area will hold a convoy around the Holywing cafe location as a form of protest to the management who made the promo.
The convoy was planned to be carried out today. The action points will be in all Holywings locations, starting from Gatot Subroto, Senayan to Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK).
"Later this afternoon after Friday we will consolidate to determine which point we will convoy together," he said.
In the convoy later, continued Sofyan, it is certain that there will be no anarchy. In addition, his party has made a convoy notification to the police.
"God willing, it won't be anarchic, just a convoy. It won't be raided. Hopefully there won't be any raids," said Sofyan.
Holywings Indonesia had issued a promotion to give free alcoholic beverages to owners of the names Muhammad and Maria. The promotion is valid every Thursday with the condition that you bring an identity card
The promotion also received attention because it went viral on social media. Until finally, the upload about the promotion was deleted.
