Accumulation Of Transjakarta Bus Passengers In Tosari Impacts Revitalization Of Several Bus Stops

JAKARTA - The crowd of passengers using the Transjakarta mass transportation was seen to be close together and there was a density during office hours, Thursday, June 23, in the afternoon.

A number of Transjakarta bus users are willing to crammed into a Tosari Busway Stop, Central Jakarta, when they want to go to their respective destinations.

The phenomenon of the density of Transjakarta passengers was recorded by an amateur camera by one of the passengers. Then the video went viral on Instagram.

Responding to this overcrowding, the Head of Transjakarta Public Relations Iwan Samariansyah acknowledged that there were frequent overcrowding at the Tosari bus stop.

"We are revitalizing the Tosari BRT route, so that buses (Transjakarta often) mix with other vehicles," he said when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, June 23.

With the revitalization at several Transjakarta shelters, it has an impact on services to users of this mode of transportation. So there is an accumulation of passengers.

"As a result, delays often occur because the bus mixes with other vehicles," he said.
