The Burglars Of 26 Shop Houses On The Island Of Lombok Were Arrested After Monitoring Via CCTV
JAKARTA - Police officers arrested a man suspected of stealing a shop house (ruko) specialist who often acts in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
The head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) Police Commissioner Kadek Adi Budi Astawa said the man had the initials M (25), from Jempong Baru, Sekarbela District, Mataram City.
"So we managed to find the whereabouts of the person concerned after his identity was revealed through examination of field evidence, one of which was from CCTV," said Kadek Adi in Mataram, NTB, Wednesday, June 22.
The location of the CCTV camera, which was the start when the police managed to arrest M on Wednesday, June 22 that morning, was in the shophouse that was burglarized in Cakranegara, Mataram City.
"That happened on June 10, 2022. The shop owner's victim reported it and we followed up through the investigation process," he said.
From the results of the interim inspection, it was revealed that at least 26 shop houses had been burglarized by the perpetrators. The perpetrators admitted that they often carry out the action in the early hours of the morning.
"The 26 shop houses are not only in Mataram, but also in other areas, Lombok Island," he said.
Kadek Adi confirmed that his party was still conducting an in-depth examination of M. It was suspected that M did not only carry out the action alone but in groups.
"So the perpetrators have now been detained and the investigation is still ongoing, we are developing it from mapping the information," he said.
