Sandiaga Uno Wants To Create A Homestay In A Clean And Healthy Tourist Village
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy cooperates with PT KAO Indonesia to develop tourist villages and homestays in the country.
Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno explained that Kemenparekraf collaborated with PT KAO Indonesia in collaborating with the pentahelix partnership as an effort to create a clean, healthy, safe, and sustainable Tourism Village.
"In order to support and improve the standards of cleanliness and comfort of homestays in Tourism Villages, PT KAO Indonesia provides a package containing products as supporting facilities (amenities) for homestays in tourist villages," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga in his statement, Wednesday, June 22.
Menparekraf Sandiaga also explained that his party together with PT KAO Indonesia had directly inspected the Undisan tourist village location in Bali as well as handed over a package of Indonesian Kao products to the Village Head which could be used as homestay amenities.
"We are committed together to carry out educational programs to promote health and environmental sustainability in tourist villages with the aim of increasing the understanding of homestay owners and the community about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability," he said.
The tourism village program is a lever for the village economy and as a promotional vehicle to show the potential of tourist villages in Indonesia to domestic and foreign tourists, as well as encourage regions to be able to create new tourist villages in their area that can generate the village economy.
“Economic awakening from the villages to develop Indonesia. In addition, it can capture a database of new tourist villages from registration on the tourism village network website (Jadesta), which is the official website developed by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy," said Menparekraf Sandiaga.
