Asking For IDR 1.5 Million, Unscrupulous Ormas Are Allegedly Extorting Telecommunication Network Workers In Cengkareng

JAKARTA - The act of burglary allegedly carried out by community organizations (ormas) against telecommunications workers has occurred again in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta. The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 21.

According to the information compiled, it was reported that there was a blasphemy against a telecommunication network installation contractor who was carrying out work in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta.

The mass organization person who uses the full attributes asked for money worth Rp. 1.5 million from the workers who installed the telecommunications network.

The perpetrator had also threatened that if his request was not fulfilled, he would confiscate the work equipment belonging to the telecommunications service worker.

When confirmed, Cengkareng Police Chief Kompol Ardhie Demastyo said there had been no reports at the Cengkareng Police regarding the incident. However, they will check this information.

"I will investigate first. Because there has been no report coming to Polsek (Cengkareng)," he said when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, June 22.
