Reward To Taruna Nusantara Students: Mastering Technology, Don't Forget Pancasila

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo was surprised when he was greeted by hundreds of Taruna Nusantara (TN) students at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building. They deliberately came to stay in touch with the number one person in Central Java.

“I came in to greet students from Puncak Jaya, it turned out that many were from Papua. There are North Sumatra, South Sulawesi and West Sumatra," said Ganjar as in a written statement, Tuesday, June 21.

This meeting with TN students is not the first time for Ganjar. Usually Ganjar with the Governor Teaching program came directly to the TN campus in Magelang, this time it was the students who visited Ganjar in his office.

In front of hundreds of TN students, Ganjar delivered material about the challenges faced by students in the future. He said students would be responsible for the condition of Indonesia in 2045.

“Food security and sovereignty, information technology and digitalization which continues to develop where the pandemic yesterday has tested us. The road is long and not easy,” said Ganjar.

This homework, he continued, must be faced by generations of TN students with various challenges. Ganjar emphasized that the road to a good goal will not be easy.

“Remember that your goal will not be achieved if you are disturbed later. What's the problem? There are ideological values that are not in accordance with Pancasila, be careful," he highlighted.

The threat of groups trying to change the nation's ideology, to the shadow of drugs, made Ganjar convey a message not only to students. Teachers also have an important role because schools are easy targets for these threats.

"I leave it to them, master the technology of knowledge, but don't forget our culture. Don't forget then the values of Pancasila that we have in everyday life, so that we hope that they will become relatively perfect children. Intelligent brain, intelligent emotional. The community values are good, they can work together and then always think of alternatives,” he said.

In this activity, ten students from Central Java were also present who received scholarships from the Central Java Provincial Government. One of them was elected as a member of the National Paskibraka.
