YouTuber DIY Perka Creates His Own PS 5 Only 1.9 Centimeters Thick
JAKARTA - A YouTuber from the DIY Perka channel tried to make his own PlayStation 5 Slim by disassembling most of the original PS5 body.
Sony will usually update its console products to a slimmer and lighter version in the next few years. The statement is based on real evidence when Sony launched its console.
For example, Sony released PS4 Fat released in 2013, and then released PS4 Slim and PS4 which supports 4K resolution released together in 2016.
If most people wait for the release of the slim version from Sony, DIY Perks actually made a slim version of its own PS 5. In the video he uploaded on Monday, June 20, he can be seen disassembling almost the entire body of the PS 5.
He replaced components with similar parts with his own creations, including a slightly thicker console casing, to produce a device that was only 1.9 centimeters thick.
According to Engadget, what Perks has done is build its own water cooling system and place the power supply in a long, slim external case that can be placed behind the TV.
Although he ran into some issues that took a long time to resolve, eventually when he tried to connect his console to the TV, it worked. Unfortunately, this PS 5 Perk customization isn't easy to replicate. You need adequate skills and tools.
Please note that if you don't have enough tools and knowledge to redesign your PS 5, don't ever try it. Instead of creating a sleek console, you may just find your console unable to work.
