Tangerang District Court Holds Class I Tangerang Prison Fire Session This Afternoon

TANGERANG - The Tangerang District Court (PN) will again hold a follow-up hearing in the prison fire case that killed 49 inmates on Tuesday, June 21.

Public Relations of the Tangerang District Court, Arief Budi Cahyono, said the agenda for today's session was to examine the crown. The defendants will appear in court.

As is known, there are four defendants in the fire case. The four of them are Tangerang Class I prison employees. They are, Suparto, Rusmanto, Yoga Wido Nugroho, and Butar-Butar Archery.

"Yes, sir, today's trial (Lapas Fire). The agenda is to examine the crown witness," said Arief via text message, Tuesday, June 21.

"The defendant was presented. They testify to each other," he continued.

Arief said the trial was planned to be held in room 1 of the Tangerang District Court, Tuesday, June 21, at 13.00 WIB.

"Room 1, 13.00 WIB," he said.

For information, a number of witnesses from various related parties have testified during the trial.

Several parties, such as the former head of Tangerang Class I Prison Victor Teguh, members of the police, BPBD members, PLN members, and inmates at the prison.

Several facts in the trial were revealed, such as the alleged practice of buying and selling residential rooms at the Class I prison in Tangerang, allegations of inmates stealing electrical power, and electrical installations that were never checked.
