Involved In Counterfeiting Letters, The Chairman Of The Savings And Loan Cooperative, Budiman Gandi, Was Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison
SEMARANG - The Supreme Court (MA) sentenced the General Chairperson of the Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) Intidana Budiman Gandi to 5 years in prison.
Ardhika Wisnu, the public prosecutor who handled the case, confirmed that the Semarang District Attorney had received a copy of the cassation decision in the case of forging the letter.
"We have received a copy of the decision from the Semarang District Court," he said in Semarang, Antara, Monday, June 20.
Furthermore, he said, the prosecutor's office will send a summons to the convict Budiman Gandi for the execution of the sentence.
Ardhika said that the cassation decision had permanent legal force so the convict had to implement it. "If indeed the convict will take extraordinary legal remedies, it will not hinder the execution," he said.
Therefore, he asked Budiman Gandi to cooperate with the cassation decision.
Meanwhile, the attorney for a number of KSP Intidana members, Yosep Parera, asked the prosecutor to be firm in carrying out the execution of the MA decision.
"It must be arrested immediately so as not to escape," he said.
Previously, the General Chair of KSP Intidana Budiman Gandi was acquitted by the Semarang District Court in November 2021 in the case of forging the letter. The public prosecutor immediately filed an appeal against the acquittal.
