China has four representatives, they are men's singles Zhao Jun Peng, women's singles Wang Zhi Yi, men's doubles Liu Yu Chen/Ou Xuanyi, and mixed doubles Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong,
China seemed to want "revenge" after last year's edition of the Indonesia Open did not send any representatives due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Based on the schedule reported by BWF Tournament Software, mixed doubles Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong will start the final match, today, at 12:00 WIB, against Japanese representatives Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Ya Qiong.
They will compete for the 12th time. Chinese representatives dominated the previous meeting by bagging nine wins, including the last match at the 2022 Thailand Open with a score of 18-21, 21-8, 23-21.
Then the final match continued with the first meeting between the women's singles Wang Zhi Yi who challenged the second seed from Taiwan and the 2018 Indonesia Open champion Tai Tzu-ying.
Then the title in the women's doubles sector is confirmed to belong to Japan because the two representatives face each other, namely Nami Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida and Yuki Fukushima/Sayaka Hirota.
As for the men's singles number, Zhao Junpeng will face the first seed and defending champion from Denmark, Viktor Axelsen.
They will face each other for the sixth time in their career. Axelsen dominated the previous five matches by winning four victories and last met at Istora at the Indonesia Masters 2020 with a score of 20-22, 21-13, 21-7.
