Police Arrest One Thug From Mount Antang Localization Slashing 2 Residents: 2 More Still On DPO

JAKARTA - SRD, one of the thugs from the Gunung Antang localization who was involved in the shooting and a series of attacks on the residents of Jalan Kemuning, RW 01, Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara District, has been arrested by the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim).

From his confession, SRD was the perpetrator of the slashing of two residents and the shooting of the attack on a resident's house on Jalan Kemuning, RW 01, Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara.

The police confiscated an assembled revolver belonging to the suspect SRD. In addition to firearms, the police also confiscated evidence of 9 live bullets, a machete and 1 bullet projectile belonging to the SRD.

"Yesterday there was viral news, there was an attack from Mount Antang against residents of Kampung Kemuning in the Jatinegara area. There were victims due to stabbing and there was an explosion of a gun that hit one of the houses," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, June 19.

After receiving the report of the victim of being stabbed and beaten with the number LP/B/1274/VI/2022/SPKT Polres Metro Jakarta Timur, the police began to investigate.

"From the results of the search, the Criminal Investigation Team and the Sector Police of the ranks conducted an investigation. We know that there are three perpetrators, namely SRD and HRS (DPO) and HD (DPO). The suspect of SRD has been arrested," he said.

To the police, the SRD suspect admitted that the firearm was his.

"The person concerned has admitted to his firearms and projectiles. The suspect was the one who stabbed the victim," he said.

Currently, the police are still searching for two other perpetrators who were involved in the beating and stabbing with the initials HRS and HD.

"We are still pursuing the two perpetrators. The process is still ongoing," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the beating of four residents of RW 01, Rawa Bunga Village, by a group of heavily armed thugs from the Gunung Antang prostitution area was allegedly triggered by revenge.

According to information compiled by VOI from one of the sources at the scene, the incident began with the theft of a charity box belonging to the Al-Barokah mosque on Jalan Kemuning, Bendungan, RW 01, Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara, a few days ago.

The suspect was also arrested by local residents. After being interrogated by residents, the perpetrator of the theft of the mosque's charity box admitted to working in one of the 'sexy' places for prostitution in Gunung Antang, East Jakarta.

"Initially the theft of the charity box occurred about 10 days ago. He (the thief of the charity box) was one of the room guards at the Gunung Antang prostitution area," said WI, a resident to VOI at the location, last Monday, June 13.

Furthermore, the case of the theft of the charity box belonging to the mosque was carried out by family mediation. The case of the theft of the charity box was declared completed after making peace.

"After peace, suddenly yesterday, June 12 at 02.00 in the morning, our area was attacked by the same group of people, who were suspected to be colleagues of the perpetrators of the theft of the mosque charity box," he said.

As a result of the beating, two residents with the initials RH and SI suffered stab wounds from sharp weapons in the upper back. Meanwhile, two other residents with the initials SP and RK found bruises all over their bodies due to being hit with blunt objects by a group of thugs. RH and SI were beaten by the perpetrators blindly.

The incident began when RH, SI, SP and RK were buying nasi uduk at the scene on Sunday, June 12, at around 02.10 WIB.

Then suddenly, a group of thugs came from the direction of the Gunung Antang prostitution area, East Jakarta, and came to visit residents who were buying nasi uduk.

Then the victim was approached by the perpetrators. For no apparent reason, a number of victims were hacked by a group of sharp-armed perpetrators indiscriminately. After the beating, the perpetrators fled.

"Four people were injured. Residents' houses were also damaged, there was one house," he said.

After the incident, residents around the location felt restless. The reason is that the perpetrators of the attack were a group of thugs localizing prostitution in Gunung Antang, East Jakarta.

Then, clashes between these two mass groups occurred again. The clashes were the aftermath of the previous attack by a mob from the localization direction of Mount Antang on Monday, June 13, at around 03.00 WIB. That night, there were two clashes between groups.

The mass attack, which originated from the Gunung Antang localization, damaged a number of houses on Jalan Kemuning, RW 01, Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara District.

In fact, from information from residents of Jalan Kemuning, it was stated that there were arrows and bullet projectiles found in residents' homes that were fired upon by a mass group from Mount Antang.

A local resident with the initials HB (45) said the attack on Monday occurred at 02.30 WIB. He heard gunshots more than three times.

"There were more than three bullets shot," said HB.

HB said that one of the bullets was said to have been taken by the Jatinegara Sector Police (Polsek).

"Yes, the one I was holding was one bullet. But I shot more than three times, lots of shots," said HB.
