Garuda PKPU Approved, SOE Minister: Thank You Creditors

JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir said he was grateful that this vote received a positive response from the majority of creditors who participated in the process of Postponing Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU).

Based on the results of the voting recapitulation, Garuda was able to reach the vote threshold which is a requirement for homologation.

As is known, PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has succeeded in obtaining a settlement agreement from creditors. The number of those who approved the company's debt restructuring proposal reached 97.46 percent of the total number of creditors.

"The positive projections we received today cannot be separated from the hard work of all levels of management, employees, and a team of accompanying consultants who have been in intensive communication with creditors for more than seven months. We also thank the creditors who have supported Garuda up to now. this point," he said in an official statement, Friday, June 17.

Erick hopes that this support will continue to flow until the stage where Garuda begins to implement the strategic steps that have been designed in the business plan going forward.

He also believes that this will make Garuda a more agile, adaptive and competitive business entity.
