COVID-19 Update As Of June 17: 1,220 New Cases, Accumulated 6,065,644 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 75,605 specimens were examined with 1,220 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,065,644 and active cases have increased by 658 to 7,326," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, June 17.
Today's recovered cases increased by 556 cases, bringing the total to 5,901,639 recovered people. Then, there were 6 positive confirmed deaths and a total of 156,679 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 989 cases and a total of 1,256,494 cases. Followed by West Java with 208 new cases with a total of 1,108,277 cases. Banten has 129 new cases and a total of 294,408 cases. Then, East Java with 62 new cases and a total of 576,957 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 28 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an increase of 64 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 56 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 56 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 99,869.993.
"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1.06 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,186 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 201,095,712 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 168,378,526 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 48,693,149. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
