Perpol Officially Enacted, Police Immediately Submit PK Result Of Brotoseno Trial
JAKARTA - The National Police will immediately conduct a review (PK) regarding the results of the trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) which decided not to fire AKBP Raden Brotoseno.
This effort was made after the Regulation of the Indonesian National Police (Perpol) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics was officially promulgated.
"Yes, it has been announced in the State Gazette on June 15," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, to VOI, Friday, June 17.
The regulation is also contained in the State Gazette number 587, 2022 and was promulgated after being signed by the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly.
This Perpol is the result of the evaluation and amendment of the National Police Chief Regulation (Perkap) number 14 2011 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics of the Republic of Indonesia National Police and Perkap Number 19 of 2012 concerning the Organizational Structure and Work Procedure of the Indonesian National Police Code of Ethics.

Article 83 states that the National Police Chief has the authority to review the KKEP decision or the KKEP Appeal decision which is final and binding.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that he would review the decision of the National Police Code of Ethics (KKEP) trial which did not fire AKBP Raden Brotoseno.
"I, as the National Police Chief, ask for a reconsideration or conduct a judicial review of the AKBP Brotoseno's decision," said Listyo Sigit.
The following is the contents of Article 83 of the Regulation of the Indonesian National Police Number 7 of 2022;
(1) The National Police Chief has the authority to review the KKEP decision or the KKEP Appeal decision which is final and binding.
(2) The review as referred to in paragraph (1) is carried out if:
a. in the decision of KKEP or KKEP Appeal there is an error; and/orb. found evidence that has not been examined during the KKEP Session or KKEP Appeal.
(3) The review as referred to in paragraph (1) can be carried out no later than 3 (three) years from the KKEP decision or KKEP Appeal decision
