Pilgrims In Indonesia Don't Worry If The Goods Are Lost, Just Memorize The 4 Numbers Listed On The Selawat Bus

JAKARTA - Indonesian pilgrims who are prospective Hajj pilgrims are advised by the Mecca Working Area Transportation Section (Daker) to remember the four numbers listed on the Selawat bus. This is to ensure if any items left behind can be found again.

"Our officers in the field always do 'sweeping' before the congregation leaves the bus. If you memorize the bus number, God willing, you will find it," said Head of the Mecca Working Area Transportation (Daker) Asep Subhana in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Antara, Friday, June 17.

He said the officers were committed to the bus company, if any of the congregants' belongings were left behind, they would immediately inform the transportation section and they would be picked up at the bus company to be handed over to the congregation.

So far, he said, transportation officers have picked up the congregation's leftover goods three times, in the form of three cell phones and a wallet containing cellphones and rupiah money.

"God willing, from year to year the driver is trustworthy, if there are pilgrims left behind, let us know and we will hand them over to the pilgrims who have the goods," he said.

Asep also suggested that no items be left behind, pilgrims should always focus on their belongings, if necessary, they should be placed in one bag, especially cellphones.

The Indonesian government has prepared a prayer bus service for prospective pilgrims in Mecca which will take them from their hotel to the Grand Mosque. The service is provided free of charge for 24 hours serving five routes with three terminals, namely Syib Amir, Bab Ali, and Jiad.

The route is first, Mahbas Jin - Bab Ali prepared as many as 16 buses to serve 19,288 spread across six hotels in the Mahbas Jin area. There are three stops that have been prepared.

Second, the route of Syisyah - Syib Amir. There are 29 buses prepared to serve 11,428 pilgrims who live in nine hotels in the Syisyah area. Here are prepared three stop stops.

Third, the route of Raudhah - Syeb Amir. In total there are 53 buses for 21,015 pilgrims staying in six hotels in the Raudhah area, with five stops.

Fourth, the route Jarwal - Syieb Amir. This route will serve 24,904 pilgrims staying at two hotels in the Jarwal area. In total there are 62 buses with two stops.

Fifth, the Misfalah - Jiad route. This route serves 17,550 pilgrims. They stayed in 13 hotels in the Misfalah area with seven stops, said Asep Subhana.
