Host of the quarter-finalsDuring Qatar 2022, the stadium will host up to the quarter-finals matches. The seating capacity of the stadium during the tournament is 40 thousand. After Qatar 2022, its capacity will be reduced to 20 thousand after the elimination of the modular top tier. The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) plans to donate excess seats to countries that lack sports infrastructure – meaning Qatar 2022's legacy will be felt far and wide.

In addition, 85 percent of building materials come from the region, while 29 percent are produced from recycled materials. The stadium also offers carbon dioxide sensors for high-occupancy density spaces to ensure ventilation and indoor air quality, and a water-saving irrigation design to minimize landscape water consumption.
