Pempov Kaltara Allocate IDR 172 Billion For School Building And Rehab
TANJUNG SELOR - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), has re-allocated the budget for the education sector in Kaltara. Through the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), this year the provincial government has allocated a budget of more than Rp. 172 billion to build schools and rehabilitate schools.
The Governor of Kaltara, Drs H Zainal A Paliwang SH, M.Hum said that the government continues to be committed to the world of education. The form of support is to build school infrastructure so that students in this youngest province do not experience difficulties in accessing the facilities.
"I have directly instructed the Head of the Education and Culture Office of the Province of Kaltara to allocate the school development and rehabilitation budget. We don't want facilities in schools to be lacking. Because it will have an impact on students' abilities in teaching and learning activities," explained the Governor as reported by Antara.
Head of the Kaltara Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), Drs Teguh Henri Susanto, M.Pd through his secretary H Sudarsono revealed, apart from the provincial budget, school construction in Kaltara is also supported through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN). ), the value is more than IDR 103 billion.
"So through two sources of funding, through the provincial budget and from the DAK-APBN. For the APBD, the value is Rp. 69,408,418,458, while through the DAK-APBD the value is Rp. 103,458,144,000, if the total value is Rp. 172,866,562,458," said Sudarsono.
The funds, continued Sudarsono, will be used to build a number of high school (SMA), vocational high school (SMK) and special schools (SLB) facilities spread across regencies/cities throughout Kaltara.
Among them, the construction of New Classrooms (RKB), Student Practice Rooms (RPS) and laboratories. And, a number of rehabilitations such as toilets (latrines) with moderate or severe damage levels.
"So not only development, there are also a number of rehabilitation," he said.
While related to the development plan of SMA in border areas, Sudarsono said that currently it is in the process of being studied.
"As in Lumbis Pansiangan, the land is already clear, it is a land grant from the Nunukan Regency Government. Where later, if the results of the technical study have been released and support it, then the construction of infrastructure can be carried out," said Sudarsono.
As is known, as an effort to explain the mission of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Kaltara in the 16-year compulsory education program. The provincial government is currently reviewing plans for developing high schools in hard-to-reach areas.
Namely in the Snake River, Lumbis Pansiangan, Lumbis Ogong and Lumbis Hulu in Nunukan Regency, and Long Boh Village in Malinau Regency. And there is also a high school development plan in Sajau District, Bulungan Regency.
"The reason we (the provincial government) build schools there is to cut access. For example, in Nunukan Regency, we want our residents who are in Lumbis Pansiangan not too far to cross to Nunukan to continue their high school," concluded Sudarsono.
