West Kalimantan BNN Destroys 13 Kg Of Shabu-Shabu Using Factory Waste Destruction Equipment
KALBAR - The Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) of West Kalimantan (Kalbar) destroyed 13 kilograms of evidence of methamphetamine. The destruction uses an incinerator which is usually used to burn solid waste.
"We are doing the extermination to prevent unwanted things from being carried out by irresponsible people," said Head of the West Kalimantan BNNP Eradication Division, Kombes Pol. Ade Yana Supriyana in Pontianak, quoted from Antara, Thursday 16 June
Ade Yana explained that the evidence came from the disclosure of an attempt to smuggle shabu-type narcotics on May 31, 2022. The Pamtas Task Force officer Battalion 645 TNI AD received a report that someone was going to smuggle narcotics.
"Once received the information, the Pamtas Battalion 645 TNI AD officers carried out reconnaissance and managed to secure one person who was carrying as much as 13 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at around 13.00 WIB on Jalan Rat," he said.
From the results of the examination, he explained, the suspect was brought with the initials Ik (22) from the Bintulu area, Malaysia, to be brought to Jagoi Babang, Jagoi Babang District, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan.
Suspect Ik is a resident of Jalan Bakaru, Bakaru Village, Lembang District, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi Province.
"From the suspect's confession, he received a wage for smuggling the illicit goods of IDR 5 million per kg," he said.
According to him, the illicit goods will be brought to the Jagoi Babang sub-district or to be precise in the Bongko Bridge area at a coffee shop who ordered Malaysian citizens on behalf of Akong.
"For the next process, the suspect will be handed over to the West Kalimantan BNNP for legal processing," he said.
Ade added that the 13 kg of crystal methamphetamine was estimated to be worth Rp. 3.9 billion with an estimate of 55,000 people being able to save the public from the illicit goods.
