Jokowi Inaugurates 2 Ministers And 3 Deputy Ministers, PP Muhammadiyah Asks Cabinet Not To Be Influenced By Political Dynamics 2024
YOGYAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has just inaugurated two new ministers and three deputy ministers (wamen) today. The General Chair of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive (PP) Haedar Nasir asked all ranks of the Forward Indonesia Cabinet to return to focus on carrying out their duties.
Haedar hopes that the ranks of ministers and vice ministers, both new and those who have served since President Jokowi's second term as head of state, will not be affected by the political dynamics ahead of the 2024 General Election.
"Regardless of the political dynamics ahead of 2024, the task is to fulfill the greatest interests of the people," Haedar said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, June 15.
Haedaer also hopes that President Jokowi's subordinates in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet will optimally carry out the remaining two years' mandate. The main thing is to fulfill the needs of the people who are getting heavier.
Haedar asked not to let these public positions become intermediaries for the 2024 political contestation so that they lose their orientation to meeting the real needs of the people.
"The key is to become statesmen who put the interests of the nation and state above the interests of themselves, their cronies, and their own groups. Love the people wholeheartedly more than just an image as if they are pro-people but only to clear their own political path. Imitate the founders of the nation who were willing to sacrifice for the sake of the people authentically," he said.
To the new ministers and deputy ministers who were sworn in at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, June 15, Haedar conveyed congratulations in carrying out his duties in the hope of being able to fulfill the aspirations of the people according to their respective fields.
"Hopefully they will succeed in meeting the expectations and aspirations of the public in their respective fields," he said.
