Former Head Of Corruption Village, IDR 460 Million Money Returned To The Prosecutor's Office Then Deposited To The Village Treasury
KUDUS - The Kudus District Attorney, Central Java handed over a refund from the defendant in the village fund corruption case amounting to Rp460 million to the Lau Village Government treasury, Dawe District, after the case was legally binding.
According to the Head of Intel's Prosecutor's Office, Arga Maramba, the return of the money from the former Head of Lau Village was carried out today, after the decision of the Semarang Corruption Court with the defendant former Village Head Lau HS being declared inkrah.
Reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 15, the money, he said, was handed over to the village treasury through the Lau Village Government Treasurer which was deposited into the village treasury account at the Kudus Central Java Bank, presenting the former Lau village head.
Based on the Semarang Corruption Court's decision dated March 28, 2022, it was stated that the defendant HS was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption and sentenced to five years imprisonment and three months of detention.
Meanwhile, the criminal fine is Rp. 300 million, subsidiary to two months in prison. Including paying a replacement money of Rp. 1.81 billion.
Because the defendant returned the money from corruption amounting to Rp460 million, the remaining replacement money that had not been paid was Rp1.35 billion. However, when the defendant does not have sufficient assets to pay the replacement money, then it is replaced with imprisonment for one year and 10 months.
Disclosure of the corruption case, because the former village head misappropriated funds by making several fictitious projects. In 2018 there were six village project points whose funds had been disbursed, but there was no evidence of physical work.
In 2019, eight fictitious projects were recorded, the majority of which were construction of roads and waterways. However, the physical work cannot be proven, while the funds have been disbursed first.
