Foo Fighters Invites Liam Gallagher To Hold A Tribute Concert For Taylor Hawkins

JAKARTA - The Foo Fighters band will hold a tribute concert dedicated to their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, who died last March. The concert will be held at Wembley Stadium, London on 3 and 27 September.

Besides Foo Fighters, they also invited fellow musicians such as Liam Gallagher, Mark Ronson, Josh Homme, Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen, Wolfgang Van Halen, and many others.

“As one of the most admired figures in the music world, Taylor's talent and personality are cherished by fans, friends and music legends around the world. Millions mourned his passing on March 25," the Foo Fighters statement said.

This concert aims to unite family, friends and fans who remember Taylor Hawkins as a music icon. This event is fully supported by Hawkins' wife in her statement.

"My deepest thanks to the Foo Fighters community and Taylor fans for your support of Taylor," he said.

“Taylor is honored to be a part of the Foo Fighters for 25 years. We consider every member of the band to be our family," he continued.

Tickets for the tribute concert will go on sale starting June 17, United States time. Reportedly they will add several performers for this tribute concert.

Taylor Hawkins was found dead in a hotel in Bogota, Colombia on Friday, March 25. Several types of medicinal substances were found in Hawkins' body after the investigation process.

Due to the news, the Foo Fighters canceled their entire world tour and were absent from the 2022 Grammy Awards.
