Legitimate! Jokowi Officially Inaugurates Wempi Wetipo, Afriansyah Noor, And King Juli Antoni As Deputy Ministers

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo officially inaugurated several deputy ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. This inauguration began at around 13.35 WIB at the State Palace, Jakarta.

Those appointed were John Wempi Wetipo as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Afriansyah Noor as Deputy Minister of Manpower, and Raja Juli Antoni as Deputy Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

Wempi was previously the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Afriansyah Noor was the Secretary General of the Crescent Star Party (PBB), and Raja Juli was the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

"By Allah I swear, by God I promise, that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of my service to the nation and state," said the ministers and vice ministers guided by President Joko Widodo, Wednesday, June 15.

"That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of my position, work as well as possible with a full sense of responsibility," they continued.

After the inauguration, the national anthem Indonesia Raya was played. After that, President Joko Widodo and the general chairmen of political parties congratulated the new minister and deputy minister.

The inauguration was attended by a number of general chairmen (ketum) of coalition parties, namely PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri, Gerindra chairman who is also Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Golkar chairman who is also Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartato, and NasDem Chairman Surya Paloh.

Next, the General Chairperson of PPP, who is also PPN/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, and the Chairman of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan, who will also be sworn in as Minister of Trade, also attended.
