Selling 4 Trontons And 1 Excavator, 56 Years Old Man In Serang Banten Receives IDR 2 Billion
SERANG - Hospital (56) has been named a suspect in the case of embezzling 4 tronton trucks and 1 excavator belonging to PT ATR in Kopo District, Serang Regency. Losses reached Rp 2 billion.
The hospital is now secured by members of the Serang Police Pidum Unit. The perpetrator, who lives in Teluk Betung Selatan Subdistrict, Bandar Lampung City, was arrested by members of the Serang Police Satreskrim assisted by the Tapin Police Satreskrim at his hiding place in Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan, Thursday, June 9.
"We managed to secure the suspect in a hiding place after being reported for allegedly embezzling 4 trucks and 1 excavator unit belonging to PT ATR," said Serang Police Chief Yudha Satria, in a statement, Monday, June 13.
Yudha explained that his party was moving according to the report made on Monday, April 11, when YWS (56) as the owner of the company checked the vehicle pool.
When the inspection was carried out, it turned out that there were 4 tronton trucks and 1 excavator unit not in the pool. The owner then asked the security officers, and it was discovered that the 5 heavy vehicles had been removed by the suspect RS, who at that time was working as a pool manager.
"The owner of the new vehicle found out that the heavy vehicle was no longer there when the inspection was carried out. After being asked, it turned out that the vehicle had been removed by the suspect from the hospital while he was still serving as a pool manager," explained Yudha.
Because the hospital could not be found, the company then traced the whereabouts of the 5 heavy vehicles. As a result, the company found out that there were 4 trucks and 1 excavator sold by RS to a businessman with the initials MU.
"Knowing that the company's operational vehicle had been sold without the owner's knowledge, PT ATR reported it to the Serang Police. The company claimed to have suffered a loss of Rp. 2 billion," said Yudha.
The police mobilized personnel, and it was discovered that the hospital had fled to the Tapin area, South Kalimantan.
"After coordinating with the Tapin Police, the suspect from the hospital was successfully secured in a hiding place in the Tapin Regency area," said Yudha.
"The suspect in the hospital is currently still under intensive examination. For his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 372 of the Criminal Code concerning the crime of embezzlement with a penalty of 4 years in prison," he said.
