Overwatch 2 Released This Year In Free-to-Play Mode, More Details Coming On June 16
JAKARTA - Activision Blizzard announced on Monday, June 13 that Overwatch 2 will launch on October 4th for free to play on Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
"Anyone can join, and anyone can play and take part in our live service which is always active and constantly evolving," the developer said in the announcement.

The developer also says that this release is the most significant release in Overwatch history when it debuted. Overwatch 2 will have early access to new PvP experiences, heroes, maps, and more with new free-to-play models.
"This shift to free-to-play will open up and make the world of Overwatch available to more people than ever before."
In the same announcement, Blizzard said it will provide more details of Overwatch 2 on June 16 at 10:00 PDT or on June 17 at 00:00 WIB on PlayOverwatch's YouTube and Twitch channels.
