Good News From Cigarette Manufacturers Samperna Mild And Dji Sam Soe, They Will Divide Rp7.36 Trillion Dividend
JAKARTA - Cigarette manufacturer Sampoerna Mild and Dji Sam Soe, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) announced that it will distribute dividends worth Rp. 63.3 per share for the 2021 financial year. If you calculate the number of outstanding shares of 116.32 billion shares, then HMSP will distribute dividends with a total of Rp7.36 trillion.
For information, HM Sampoerna posted a profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent company or a net profit of Rp7.13 trillion in 2021, down 16.83 percent from Rp8.5 trillion in 2020.
The amount of the dividend decreased compared to before. In 2021, HM Sampoerna is recorded as distributing cash dividends to its shareholders with a value of Rp. 72.8 per share, or equivalent to Rp. 8.46 trillion for the 2020 financial year.
However, HMSP's performance is considered to be growing positively. President Director of HM Sampoerna Mindaugas Trumpaitis said the company with the stock code HMSP saw a positive performance last year.
"Total industrial volume in 2021 is higher than the previous period, as well as share growth for the hand-rolled kretek (SKT) portfolio and Sampoerna's premium products," said Mindaugas in an official statement on the results of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM), quoted Saturday, June 11.
HMSP in 2021 recorded an increase in net income of 7 percent compared to the previous year to Rp98.9 trillion. This increase was supported by the sales volume of cigarette products of 82.8 billion units, an increase of 4.3 percent from 2020.
In addition, HMSP also recorded an SKT volume of 1.6 billion in 2021 which was supported by investments and innovations made by the company, plus the SKT excise tariff policy which also had an effect.
