Aground At Indonesia Masters, The Daddies Shifts Focus To Indonesia Open 2022

JAKARTA — Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan have begun to prepare their focus for the Indonesia Open 2022 after failing in the last 16 of the Indonesia Masters 2022 on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

The pair nicknamed The Daddies failed to advance to the quarter-finals of this year's Indonesia Masters after being beaten by South Korean representatives Kang Min Hyuk/Seung Jae with a score of 21-19, 18-21, and 21-19.

After failing in the BWF Super 500 event, Daddies immediately turned their attention to the Indonesia Open next week.

"Preparations for maybe the first five days of recovery first. Apart from that, I also want to reverse the feeling again later for next week," said Hendra after the match.

Even though they were able to face three games, Hendra/Ahsan seemed to be in trouble. The difficulty was especially faced by Ahsan who had problems with his feet.

In that match Ahsan was known to have fallen. For that he needs to recover so he can be fit next week.

"Earlier, I fell quite hard but it hurt a little. However, I didn't really think about how important it was to make money," said Ahsan.

"It looks like a bruise. So maybe it will be compressed or treated later. I feel like I've hit my knee in a match, but I don't want to use that as an excuse that my opponent was better today," he added.

At the Indonesia Open later, Hendra / Ahsan will still be the second seed. Their move begins with facing Krishna Prasad Garaga/Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala.
