Minister Basuki Says Building Basic Infrastructure At IKN Needs IDR 43.73 Trillion
JAKRTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said a budget of IDR 43.73 trillion from 2022-2024 is needed to build basic infrastructure in the nation's capital (IKN) Nusantara.
"The need for all 2022 to 2024 is IDR 43.73 trillion. Our proposal for last April for 2022 is IDR 5 trillion," he said in a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta, Thursday.
Basuki admitted that he had written to the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati regarding the need for IKN development funds of IDR 5 trillion.
Basuki said, currently there are a number of projects that are in the auction process.
Thus, the proposed funding of Rp. 5 trillion is likely to be absorbed by only Rp. 4.3 trillion.
"There are several that have been auctioned at Cipta Karya, some have auctioned this June. It is possible that it will not absorb Rp. 5 trillion, but around Rp. 4.3 trillion. But all of them until 2024 are around Rp. 43.73 trillion, this is also prepared by the DIPA," he said. .
However, Basuki emphasized that the PUPR Ministry was only tasked with building basic infrastructure in the new capital city.
"We only handle some basic infrastructure works, namely toll roads, national roads, the president's office, the vice president's office, the offices of the coordinating ministry and the Ministry of State Secretary," he said.
In addition, the Ministry of PUPR is also tasked with working on raw water and drainage.
The initial development of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) in the Nusantara Capital is targeted for completion in 2024.
The KIPP IKN development is planned to be divided into four zones, namely Zone 1A, Zone 1B, Zone 2, and Zone 3.
Zones 1A and 1B themselves will be the location points for the construction of the Presidential Palace and several ministerial offices.
While other zones are still in the planning stage.
The Ministry of PUPR stated that the physical construction of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago will begin at the beginning of Semester II 2022 in order to meet the target on August 16, 2024, the center of government has been in the archipelago.
