It Turns Out That The Fire At The Tangerang Thinner Factory Originated From A Car Battery Explosion

TANGERANG – South Tangerang Police Chief, Kombes AKBP Sarly Sollu explained, the fire incident at the Thinner factory owned by PT Wana Prima in the Curug area, Tangerang Regency caught fire due to damage to the tank car battery.

Sarly Sollu said that at that time the tank car was being repaired by a mechanic when suddenly the car battery fell and exploded.

"There was a battery that was damaged after being repaired, the battery fell and exploded, causing sparks (striking the tank containing thinner)," said Sarly when met at the location, Thursday, June 9.

Although there were no casualties in the incident, Sarly reminded PT Warna as the owner of the thinner factory, to evaluate its work so that a similar incident does not occur.

"There are no victims. We ask PT Warna to evaluate how this security doesn't happen again, because around this factory is a residential area, so we have to ask the company to be even more vigilant," he said.

Meanwhile, the Commander of Squad B of the Balaraja Fire Station, Rachmat Saleh, said that as many as eight firefighting units were deployed to extinguish the fire. As a result, the fire has been successfully extinguished at 15.00 WIB.
