Try 'matchmaking' In The 2024 General Election, PKS Opens The Door Of Coalition With PKB: When You Meet, It's Horrifyingly Delicious

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has openly stated that it is open to building a coalition with the National Awakening Party (PKB) in the upcoming 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi said his party and PKB had begun their approach to form a new coalition axis. After the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) was officially formed Golkar, PPP and PAN.

Aboe also revealed the beginning of the closeness of PKS and PKB which began during the 20th Anniversary of PKS on May 29 last. At that time, PKS invited the leaders of political parties, governors to figures who were predicted to become presidential candidates.

On that occasion, said Aboe, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar was interested in the 'matchmaking' offered by PKS. Thus, the dialogue to form a coalition continues.

"So the meeting is actually a matchmaking meeting. We want to make love in the room we created for marriage. So PKS opens opportunities. Who meets who, who with whom. But we want to play a role, hopefully someone will meet a soul mate. It turns out that Cak Imin also responded, and the next day we will have a dialogue that PKS is welcome, especially with PKB," said Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi during a press conference with PKB Deputy Chairperson Jazilul Fawaid at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 9.

According to Aboe, PKS and PKB both have grass roots that are not much different. He said PKS has militant followers and PKB has a santri and ulema base.

"PKB is grassroots with PKS 11-12. That means I'm not saying PKS is a tenacious militant, that's what people say. And PKB is in full power in the pesantren world under the clergy. All presidential candidates will be seriously interested. Don't be surprised if it happens," he explained.

Aboe believes that if PKS and PKB go together, the concentration of the 2024 presidential election will be even more enthusiastic. He hopes that the communication between the PKS and PKB coalitions will break the deadlock between the two pairs of candidates, like the previous two elections.

"We hope that this PKB-PKS meeting will try to make a stalemate with only two contestants. Why? If there are two there will be friction. We don't want it to happen again.

"That's why we hope that the two that are ready to appear. Well, yesterday it happened that PKS held an event where there was a tit for tat. We want to make love. Indeed, PKB is a beautiful girl, for PKS it's okay, the female PKB, the male PKS. Anyway, we just want to make love. Until we meet a good mate," added Aboe.
