Workshop Burner In Tangerang City Who Killed One Family Was Detained At Home, This Is The Reason
TANGERANG - The defendant Mery Anastasia, who was the perpetrator of the workshop burning that killed a family in Tangerang City on August 6, 2021, was apparently detained at her home. What is the reason?
Mery's attorney, Dosma Sijabat, admitted that his client had been detained at home. This happened after she gave birth to her first child.
"Yes. It's the doctor's statement, he can't have a normal condition for the baby. That's why he's at home but under the supervision of the prosecutor," said Dosma when confirmed, Thursday, June 9.
It is known that Mery was detained when she was pregnant with her first child. Long story short, it was time for her client to be scheduled to give birth, so she was taken to the hospital and a detention was suspended.
Before the client gave birth, continued Dosma, Mery had moved from one location to another, from the Jatiuwung Police Station to the Tangerang Metro Police.
"Initially, before going to the Tangerang City Police Station at Jatiuwung Polsek first. From the Polsek, they were taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. There for 40 days. We continued to the Tangerang City Metro Police. At that time, it was acceded on the H day of birth," said Dosma when confirmed, Thursday, June 9.
Dosma revealed that after the dismissal of his client, the period of time for up to 40 days had expired. So, at this time Mery was brought back to the Tangerang Women's Prison, for temporary detention.
"Yes, it's true (placed) in the Women's Prison as of (Tuesday, June 7)," he said.
Departing from the placement, he and the National Commission for Child Protection, Arist Merdeka Sirait, plan to re-apply Mery's detention at his home. This is done for the health of the client's baby.
"That's why I talked to Mr. Arist Merdeka Sirait, this is how it is. So the National Commission for Children also wants to take tougher action so that he stays at home," he concluded.
