The Aftermath Of LGBT Videos On Social Media: Police Aim For Criminal Elements Against Perpetrators And Sanctions For Sealing WOW Cafes

JAKARTA - The case of same-sex or LGBT immoral acts at the Warunk WOW Cafe, Pancoran, South Jakarta, resulted in the temporary closure of the place for three days. This was conveyed directly by the Head of Criminal Investigation at the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit.

"Yes, this has been officially sealed from the local government," Ridwan told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, June 8.

Furthermore, Ridwan said his party was conducting an investigation into the case. In addition, it also provides social sanctions against the Warunk Wow Cafe.

"If indeed we find elements from article 281 (KUHP) related to decency. We will carry out legal sanctions, we will apply as long as it fulfills the elements of facts and evidence that we will get later," he said.

Regarding the examination of 4 people who were immoral, said Ridwan, they were minors. Ridwan said, in handling this case, it still refers to the procedural assistance of parents.

"Regarding minors, there are indeed several people, we are still procedural for handling minors, permanent parental assistance. But if it's adults will still be responsible individually," he concluded.
