JAKARTA – A girl became a victim of a gold necklace snatching in Gang Niman, Cijantung Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, Wednesday, June 8. The perpetrators amounted to two people using one motorbike using a helmet.
Based on CCTV footage at the scene, the robbery took place at 11.43 WIB. One of the perpetrators got off the motorbike and approached the victim who was playing soccer at the time. The suspect immediately pulled the necklace that the victim was wearing. Having managed to get the target item, the perpetrator immediately fled.
One of the residents who knew about the incident tried to catch up, but in vain because the perpetrator was too fast with the motorbike he was driving.
The victim's mother, Melan confirmed that the perpetrators said that there were actually two people, and that her son was playing soccer at the time. Melan said the white gold necklace that was worn by her son was lost and carried away by the perpetrator.
"My son was playing football. Suddenly there (in front of the house) two people stopped riding motorbikes. He didn't know if he wanted to steal, he immediately pulled (the necklace) from my son's neck, a white gold necklace," Melan told reporters on Wednesday. , June 8, afternoon.
Then, his son was crying after his necklace was snatched away. Melan also admitted that his brother was chasing the perpetrator after learning about the incident.
"When the necklace was taken, he suddenly started crying, my brother just chased after him, but the perpetrator was gone," he said.
Melan said, as a result of the incident, his son was traumatized. The child's neck also suffered minor injuries as a result of the necklace being attached forcibly being pulled.
"His neck turned a little red and he was traumatized. That's why he didn't want to come out," he complained.
